Teaser Tuesday-twofer

MizB at Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event.

Teaser Tuesdays asks you to:

--Grab your current read
--Let the book open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
--You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from… that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

~first off, Baxter is a dog~
"On the eastern side of Elephant Rock, Baxter found the distal phalange of a right index finger. It was a much harder find, given the size of the body part. Baxter was highly gifted when it came to the game of Smell-and-Find."

so it isn't somewhere between lines 7 and 12, it got your attention didn't it?

pg 69 of A Circle of Souls by Preetham Grandhi

and a second one:

"God must have known I couldn't live without you, Paul. Find our babies a mother. You know who their father should be. I'll be waiting.

I love you,
Tami"

pg 6 of Counting Stars by Michele Paige Holmes

  4. That first teaser would have been even more interesting (perplexing?) to think about if you hadn't mentioned Baxter is a dog.

Thank you!

I have no idea why the captcha thing is showing up. I've got the setting marked "no" that I don't want it. Grrrrrr! But, I believe that if you skip entering anything it will post.
