Speculative Fiction Reading Challenge 2010

Speculative Fiction Reading Challenge 2010
Jan 1 to Dec 31

As I haven't seen many challenges for speculative fiction, I thought I would host one myself. The Speculative Fiction Reading Challenge can include young adult as well as adult books. There are many genres and sub-genres under the umbrella of 'speculative fiction' and I have listed them below. Enjoy, have fun and hopefully you will discover a new genre or author along the way. Buttons and guidelines are below as well.

Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate

There are four levels:

• Inquisitive – Read 3 Speculative Fiction novels.

• Enthusiastic – Read 6 Speculative Fiction novels.

• Addicted – Read 12 Speculative Fiction novels.

• Obsessed – Read 24 Speculative Fiction novels.

Any book format counts
Challenge crossovers acceptable
Make a list, or not. List may be changed
Genres:

- Science Fiction
sub-genres: hard/soft SF, cyberpunk, time travel, alternative history, space opera

- Fantasy Fiction
sub-genres: dark fantasy, urban fantasy, magic realism, quest, mythical fantasy, steampunk

- Horror Fiction
sub-genres: paranormal, gothis literature, splatterpunk

- Supernatural Fiction
- Superhero Fiction
- Utopian and Dystopian Fiction
- Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Fiction

I know I'm going to read something that fits in with this. I may be Addicted or even Obsessed, I'm just not what or how many at this time so I'm going for....Inquisitive....that way I have a better chance of completing the challenge ;-D

Thank you!

I have no idea why the captcha thing is showing up. I've got the setting marked "no" that I don't want it. Grrrrrr! But, I believe that if you skip entering anything it will post.
