Challenge Wrap up (updated)

My original post about the challenge. There were also six mini-challenges.

Quick recap:
The idea is to review as many books as you can during the week.

Final List:
The Pizza Mystery (Boxcar Children)
One Weekend ~ romance challenge
Tallest of the smalls ~ review book
Miracle in Sumatra ~ review book
Nine Things Nathan Noticed at Night ~ review book

Mini-challenge #1: Are you happy with your review format?
Yes I am but doing the mini-challenge made me take a hard look and justify the how to myself.

Mini-challenge #2: Cross Posting your Reviews
yikes, I don't do this nearly enough and it's mainly because I don't want to repeat myself. There's no reason why I can't so I just need to suck it up and cross post!

Mini-challenge #3: Setting up Future Review Posts
This isn't scheduling reviews for later, this is setting up the details so all I need to do is plug in my thoughts. Did one and I really like it. Now I have to get used to having drafts scattered around.

Mini-challenge #4: Update Review List
This wasn't as bad as I feared. The notebook and the online list almost matched.

Mini-challenge #5: Organizing Upcoming Reviews
This is where I need help! I'll be setting up empty folders on my hard drive for this but it's going to take some time

Mini-challenge #6: Organize Your Bookshelved
HA! I'm already working on this one but set it aside during this week hoping to get more reviews written. This is an ongoing and HUGE project

This was just what I needed, a good kick to jump start my reviews. I was able to get my minimum of four in but two were new reads. One completed a challenge so that was good and I was able to cross three things off my "plan".

Will I repeat the challenge next year? Yes, I'll be looking for it and wondering what mini-challenges they'll come up with. I also need to revisit periodically to keep myself on track.

update: {blush} I was able to get in another review! One from my short list too.

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed it and got what you needed done! I know the mini-challenges were quite a lot to think about. We'll definitely do this next year, if not sooner. Kate and I are very bad at procrastinating on reviews, so this was a great kick in the butt for us and glad others joined up. I'm loving the list of drafts we have going for our upcoming reviews. Looks like we can relax and read next week. :)

Thank you!

I have no idea why the captcha thing is showing up. I've got the setting marked "no" that I don't want it. Grrrrrr! But, I believe that if you skip entering anything it will post.
