The story starts at with the return of Vincent and the bond grows quickly. We learn of all that went before through re-tellings and interviews. While this is a gay romance book with lots of sex, there is a strong futuristic military story full of enhanced humans, deep friendship and explosions.The sad thing is that I never would have picked it up based on the cover and I've enjoyed it so much that this is about the fifth time I read the book.
A second book is also available with Bobby, Vincent's brother, as the main focus.
