~ here are the new books in my house this week ~

Zero Day by Mark Russinovich
Over the Atlantic, an airliner's controls suddenly stop reacting. In Japan, an oil tanker runs aground when its navigational system fails. and in America, a nuclear power plant nearly becomes the next Chernobyl.

At first, these computer failures seem unrelated. But Jeff Aiken, a former government analyst who saw the mistakes made before 9/11, fears there may be a more serious attack coming. And he soon realizes that there isn't much time if he hopes to stop an international disaster.

The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt

Poor Duncan just wants to color. But when he opens his box of crayons, he finds only letters, all saying the same thing: His crayons have had enough! They quit! Beige Crayon is tired of playing second fiddle to Brown Crayon. Black wants to be used for more than just outlining. Blue needs a break from coloring all those bodies of water. And Orange and Yellow are no longer speaking—each believes he is the true color of the sun.  What can Duncan possibly do to appease all of the crayons and get them back to doing what they do best?

Mr. Wuffles! by David Wiesner

Mr. Wuffles ignores all the toys people buy for him. You might think he's a lazy cat, but you'd be wrong. He's just very picky about his toys.

Now Mr. Wuffles has the perfect toy, and he's ready to play. But it's not really a toy at all. It's something much more interesting.

So far, I haven't received the other review book I'm waiting for, won any contests or received any books as a gift. I have added several to my ereader, some were even free

added to my ereader: (kindle app, html, etc.)

The Hidden series by Emma Holly (books 1 - 5). Melting pot of paranormal living in a fey world that overlaps ours. Very sexy! The wolves are cops and the tigers are firemen. Good fairies and bad. Books 4 & 5 have dragons. Book 5 is m/m.

The Christmas Owl by Angela Muse (picture book)

A Barred owl becomes injured and must ask others for help. He promises to give back to those who have a generous heart and he is true to his word.

Once a Runner by John L. Parker Jr. Once a Runner captures the essence of what it means to be a competitive runner; to devote your entire existence to a single-minded pursuit of excellence. It has become one of the most beloved sports novels ever written.

Originally self-published in 1978 and sold at road races out of the trunk of the author's car, the book eventually found its way into the hands of high school, college, and postgraduate athletes all over the country. Reading it became a rite of passage on many teams, and tattered copies were handed down like sacred texts from generation to generation.

I have no idea why the captcha thing is showing up. I've got the setting marked "no" that I don't want it. Grrrrrr! But, I believe that if you skip entering anything it will post.
