I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

The First Book of 2014 wil be . . . .

After much thought, I've finally decided on which book to read first for 2014.

Drum roll please . . . . .

A Cowboy for Christmas by Lori Wilde

(Taken early because I don't know if anyone will be awake to take it after midnight.) This is a new book so Sneakers is marking it before curling up on my lap. It looks like I'm holding him down but as soon as I got ready for my picture, he came over and jumped up. I'm just caught mid-pet.

How did we spend our New Year's Eve?

Dinner & shopping. We also bought a gift and card for the wedding we're going to this weekend.

As for today? I won't be getting up until 10 a.m. so will have missed most of the Rose Parade but with DVR I'll catch it later. :-D

update 1-2: I only got to page 12 before putting the book down. I know I'll try again later but the first book finished was Christmas in Snowflake Canyon by RaeAnne Thayne

Woot! Happy New Year!! That sounds like a fantastic first choice for your read. I've been wanting to try her for ages. And Cowboys? You just can't go wrong with that. lol
