Strictly Print
Reading Challenge
2018
Hosted by me, here at Book Dragon's Lair!
Twitter: #StrictlyPrintRC
Ready? I started this challenge because I read more ebooks than print books but continued to buy print books! As I was thinking about it, I wondered if I was the only one that needed this.
Guidelines are pretty simple. You'll have all year to read your books so go ahead and stretch yourself.
1. Choose a Level
- Board Books: 12 (New level)
- Picture Books: 26 (New level)
- Chapter Books: 52
- Middle Grade: 78
- Teen: 104
- Young Adult: 156
- Adult: 208 or more
3. You don’t need a blog to participate. Feel free to link to a Goodreads shelf or another public profile where everyone can see your books.
4. Reviews are not necessary but a list of books you've read is. There will be a link up for reviews if you wish to post them. You can make a list of books you want to read and change them if you'd like.
5. All formats allowed as long as the book has an isbn or equivalent and can be purchased or borrowed, the book counts.
6. Individual short stories in a collection and individual books of the Bible do not count.
7. Crossovers from other challenges count
8. Books started before January 1st, 2018 don’t count.

I'm in! My main method of reading is via audio, but I have tons of dusty books on my bookshelves to get to.

Thank you for hosting. I'm in. I alternate between print and eBooks.
Are you going to be hosting any of your other challenges this year? Let me know if you can (via @NicoleMHewitt on Twitter or via my blog)---I have a master list of 2018 challenges going (that I'm going to post next week!) :-)

I will take part again. I didn't quite reach the goal in 2017 so I'm pleased with the lower levels.
I will take part from Goodreads.

I am so sorry, Gina! I don't understand how anyone would not comment on something so sensitive that you shared. I've seen it myself, when talking about a precious cat that is currently missing. It isn't hard to say: "We will pray that he reunites with you at home safely". Or "I feel for you. I know what your cats mean to you". Gina, you have my condolences for these losses. My Mom's bypass surgery of two years ago is showing some recent complications but it was a success and we pray she continues to improve and be well.
Before seeing your news, I came on here to invite you back to my very relaxed reading groups, which a lot of people are saying lately that they need. It is hard letting people know about mine because they flow February to January, away from a busy time for us all. So I visit individual blogs and use Goodreads, hoping at least 20 will join the four groups into which I put a lot of care and work. I will also rejoin yours of course. With love, Carolyn. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/headquarters-2018/
