I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

In my Mailbox & at the Bookstore! updated

In My Mailbox: actually it was an order from amazon - Warriors in the Mist for one of my romance challenges. I needed a "romance sub-genre you don't normally read." I really had to think about this one because I thought I read a bit of everything. Turns out I don't do medieval or dark fantasy. This book is perfect... posted on amazon, "Medieval Dark Fantasy: An epic romance is featured in this masterfully written novel that takes place in the mystical, magical Dark Ages..."

I went shopping with my birthday money! It is slightly possible, just slightly mind, that I went a little overboard today....

Rogue Forces by Dale Brown

Break No Bones: A Temperance Brennan Novel by Kathy Reichs

Up Close and Dangerous by Linda Howard

The Story of Forgetting by Stefan Merrill Block

Firefly lane by Kristen Hannah
