My daughter is getting married in July. There are five bridesmaids and we're making the dresses (with help!). I had mentally planned on spending all of June to find the perfect mother-of-the-bride dress. I looked at the Bridal place but I feel that I'm younger, and more casual, then what they had. I needed something dressy enough for the wedding while still being able to wear it to church. See why I planned on a whole month?
We hadn't bought the fabric yet so my daughter & I had gone to the store to try, one more time, to find good bridesmaid dresses (didn't) and thought to look for me while there. I found one! Unbelievable. One less thing to worry about.
Now it's three weeks later and I'm watching TV. There is a Sprint (cellphone) commercial on "If movie crews were in charge of weddings". Very cute commercial but imagine my surprise when I see the bride's mother. She's wearing my dress!
just thought it was funny
...and yes, it makes a great mother-of-the-bride dress even if I think I'm younger then the women in the commercial...now I can spend June making her veil.
