I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Mailbox Monday & What are you Reading?

Mailbox Monday is a Weekly Event hosted by
Marcia at The Printed Page
jump over to see what others have received this week.

I was given the opportunity to review Fearless by Max Lucado and downloaded the pdf copy. It has been hard to read on the computer and I really didn't want to print out 200+ pages but felt that was the only way. I was in the middle of printing another chapter when I received the hardcover in the mail. Yea. It's a beautiful book and I'm looking forward to finishing it. Review should be posted September 5, the release date.

Two review books I don't think I told you about:
Dancing With Ana
Possible Futures: Creative Thinking for the Speed of Life

Purchased at Friends of the Library:
Of Mice and Men
Goose Chase
Anne of Avonlea
Pay it Forward (for BBAW giveaway)

I played around with three columns on a workbook site but if I convert this blog I'll lose my widgets. I think I can replace them all but.... Still no list of unread books in the house. I don't think I want it written down anywhere my husband might see it {blush}

I think that, for now, I'll just keep track of what books need to be read for reviews and/or challenges. I haven't kept this up-to-date. I've been drowning in reviews and haven't come up for air yet.

Looking forward to BBAW but nervous too.

I still can't get into Wait Until Twilight. I'm going to put it down for a while and try again.
Converting to 3 columns is tough, since you have to copy and save everything, and out it back. Whay don't you wait until the new year and start fresh?

Bluestocking: Fearless doesn't use the same translation of the Bible I do and it is still a great and worthwhile read.

Allison: well it helps if your husband cooks, and you forget about the laundry.... I loved A Circle of Souls

Jenny: ah, shucks, thanks Jenny

Jenny Girl: I put it down several times, took me more than two weeks to read it. Keep trying, it ended well. And yes, I'm thinking of starting fresh in 2010-except I've already joined several challenges. We'll see.

J. Kaye: You feel faint? I bow down in your presence! question? win BBAW?

Faye: My daughter did too but I don't know if I ever did. I may remember once I get into it ;-)
