I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Off-Topic: Fitness Challenge

I've been thinking of goals. Mostly book related but also fitness & health. I spend so much time sitting; blogging, reading, writing reviews, crocheting. And when my daughter gets the rest of her stuff moved out I can add sewing! I need something to motivate me to get up and move. Found it. And even better? It's a book blogger making the challenge!

I was linking my A-Z Wednesday post at Reading at the Beach when I saw the previous post, 100 Mile Fitness Challenge.
Here’s how it works:
In order to complete this Challenge, you will need to “travel” 100 miles from October 1st through December 31st.

Here's how you calculate your mileage:
*Running or walking 1 mile outside or on a treadmill equals 1 mile.

*15 minutes of other workouts equals 1 mile (elliptical, swimming, weight lifting, workout video, workout classes, etc.).

A few "workout" stipulations:
“Workouts” only include activities specifically done for the purpose of exercise. Shopping, house cleaning, walking to and from the parking lot, and other day to day activities should not be included.

Partial miles traveled on different days cannot be combined. For example, if you run 1.25 miles on one day, and .75 mile on another day, that does not equal 2 miles. It counts as 1 mile.

Minutes accumulated on two different days cannot be combined. For example, if you workout 10 minutes one day and 5 minutes the next day, that does not combine to equal a mile.

Ready to join us? Then read the Introduction, sign-up with Mr. Linky and start moving!

It's 7:30 AM so I've got all day to get my mile in and will count this as day one.

So glad you're joining us!! And ya, leave it to a book blogger to create another challenge, huh? :)

Be sure to check into the website regularly for recipes, eating tips, motivational thingies, etc. And if you have any ideas of things you'd like to see, let me know!

Good luck. :) (and yes, I'm guessing some of us book bloggers are a little...um...sedentary).

Good luck with the challenge! I plan to join this one, but have been successively procrastinating :)
