I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Reading Challenge - The Art of the Novella

The Art of the Novella Reading Challenge
Hosted at Melville House Publishing

This is nuts. I don't need another challenge. But, novellas are short so just maybe I'll be able to finish a couple. Melville House Publishing has a collection of 42 titles of novellas and Frances at Nonsuch Book blog will be reading, and reviewing, all of them during August. That's right, 42 titles in 31 days!

Thankfully, there is a smaller level for I do not believe I could do this.

Curious – Read 1 novella
Fascinated — Read 3 novellas
Captivated – Read 6 novellas
Passionate — Read 9 novellas
Mesmerized – Read 15 novellas
Obsessed – Read 21 novellas
Fanatical – Read 27 novellas
Unstoppable — Read 33 novellas
Bibliomaniac — Read all 42 novellas

Because I'm trying to have a life beyond books, I'm going to choose.....
and hope it will wet my appetite for more.

Head over to Moby Lives and join us.

list of titles

I'm thinking of The Man Would Be King or The Hound of the Baskervilles. Both would be new reads {blush}

The Awakening by Kate Chopin
