It's been an interesting year so far. I've lost both my Moms. My mother died in January after a long decline. Soon after, my Mother-in-Law went in for bypass surgery. While her heart healed, other issues zapped her strength and she died April 22.

I may have challenge update posts but I don't know when I'll be posting regularly or when I'll get to visit everyone who is working on the challenges I'm hosting.

24in48 Read-a-Thon

Jan 21 - Jan 22

social media: #24in48

This is a midnight to midnight kind of read-a-thon, the idea is to get 24 hours of reading in during the weekend.

I don't have a list of books to read, just a general idea of reading books that count for other challenges. Maybe make sure January's monthly books are read.

I'll just keep updating this post.

First edit, Jan 20: Things have changed since I sign up and I'm not going to be able to devote the time necessary for this read-a-thon.

My Mom died. While I am sad, it's the aftermath that has thrown me for a loop. My Mom was 92 and in very poor health so it wasn't unexpected. My Dad's reaction was very unexpected so I dealing with that.

I've heard it said that no plan survives contact with the enemy. My reading plans for the year have not survived their first contact with the real world. I'll adjust but this is one of the first casualties.

Good luck to everyone on finishing what ever goals you've set yourself and have fun!

I'm so down for this readathon! It falls on the perfect weekend when I can actually read as much as I want.
