I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Share the Love

Last week was fun seeing all the shortlists and visiting some new blogs but now it’s time to make it personal.

What book blogs mean something to you? Who are your most trusted sources for recommendations, your greatest help, the blogger you turn to for a laugh or to vent? Whose writing do you admire or who introduced you to a whole new genre you didn’t know about? We want to hear all about them…because we want to know them too! Please share about the blogs we haven’t had a chance to meet via BBAW and let the party begin!

Some of the blogs I go to all the time made the list, just not where I thought they would. I need to mention one, not only do I admire J. Kaye's commitment to blogging, she's been willing to answer my (stupid) questions, helped me out of a sticky spot and since she put me on her referral list for reviews my reading has opened up in many directions. And her challenges? So much fun.

Another blogger I enjoy is Gautami at Everything distils into Reading. Not only do I like to read her blog - she's almost always the first one to visit/comment on mine and brings a smile to my face.

Now, this one isn't a "normal" book blog but I wouldn't be having near as much fun without A Novel Challenge. My hat goes off - that's a lot of work!

I have about 100 or so blogs bookmarked so I'll go back and visit but I don't make it back often enough, even when I put them in daily folders!

I just want to say an open "Thank You" to book bloggers in general, meme hosts and challenge hosts and those who come up with great events (thanks Amy). You've made my year so much fun. I have found, in my jumping around from blog to blog, that I am not alone in my desire to read and I'm more willing to purchase new authors or spread out into other genres. My pocket book is lighter but my bookshelves are overflowing with new friends, thanks to you.
