My husband and I were walking into a building and another couple was walking out. I laughed, nodded to the man and said, "See you tomorrow" and continued on my way. My husband was confused and I'm sure the guy's wife was. I'm just hoping the guy remembered what shirt he was wearing.....

I'm sitting here talking to you when I've got a list of reviews to write, three books still to read & review this month (two really, I haven't received the third yet), a pile of laundry and dang it, the dishwasher needs to be emptied! I am Queen (or at least a Princess) of Procrastination. Just ask my Mom!
Cassie at Litter box...scoop daily! had a great post, Resolutions 2010 and it got me thinking.....
Now, I remember posting about book goals (then edited them, again) and then worked up my personal 10*10*10 challenge list. I know I wanted to cut back on my challenges then thought up four to host! I may not be repeating all my challenges from 2009 to 2010 but I've added to the list just the same. A Novel Challenge is going to drive me batty! Everyone is so creative and I want to do so many of them.
Why was I writing......oh, right. Resolutions. Crap. sigh
I first book blogged in January of this year (giveaways next month). It was my first experience with reading challenges and I went a little overboard plus made some bad book choices. I completed 23 challenges last year but didn't complete 25. Some I just abandoned and some I had all the books read but didn't do any reviews. I didn't want to do that for 2010 but it looks like I'm headed there. You see, in my avoidance of writing reviews, I mapped out my reading for 2010. All the books on the list are books sent to me for review or challenge related. True, I get to choose what books I want to read, for the most part, for the challenges but still. There is no space for just picking one off the shelf.
The sad thing is that there is. I've been keeping track and it's not unheard of for me to read 20+ books a month.
I may have a list of 12 books needed to read for a month - no, that's wrong. At the most, I've got nine books listed to read. But, Jan has six listed and they're all review books so I have to read then review - soonest. Feb to May has seven each and they're all review books too. (I've fallen a little behind and am playing catch-up). I joined one challenge that requires 74 books of specific letters and there are a lot of E's and U's plus three J's. Luckily I've got a U and a J review book but what about the rest? And E's? I'm going to have to stretch outside my comfort zone to find the rest of them.
Do you want to see my reading plan for 2010? I listed everything, so far, over at my Library Blog.
Oh. Wait. What about the resolutions? Ya, procrastinating is great isn't it? The laundry is calling so I'll be back ;-)

LOL - love the t shirt story.... I am procrastinating right now too. I sat down to write my In My Mailbox post and instead find myself blog hopping...
Love the shirt story.
I do read them, and sometimes it has gotten me more than a few laughs.
Thanks for sharing.
20 books a month? That isn't really a lot, is it?
(Am I weird for thinking that?)
Yay for nearly reaching the 1 year anniversary. I admire you for completing so many challenges.
I think 20 is on the low side, it depends on what books I'm reading. I hit 50,000 pages in the middle of July. I haven't checked how far I am since.
