I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Happy Monday

Happy Birthday, Daughter!

You know that letdown feeling you get when you finish a really great book and realize it's over? I got that feeling about Repairing Rainbows. It was sent to me to review and I struggled with it for a bit but ended up loving it.

I've been entering my books into LibraryThing while boxing them up. I'm hoping to get stuff reorganized/cleared out of our "office/black hole". Daughter moved into her own apartment so there's a free bedroom that I have plans for (evil grin).

Hope everyone has plans for a great week.

Mailbox Monday is a place to share all the wonderful books that have come to live in your home– including paper books, e-books and audio books. Mailbox Monday was started by Marcia of The Printed Page. When Marcia was ready to move on from being the weekly host, she was kind enough to set up the Mailbox Monday Blog Tour. Check it out so you know where to go next month.

A big Thank You to Gwen for hosting in July, the August host is Staci at Life in the Thumb (blog link, not post link).

Looking forward to what you have to say about Chasing Rainbows. I enjoyed Benny and Shrimp, but can't say that I really loved either character.

It's hard to avoid the book aisles at Target, isn't it? Enjoy all your new books!

I usually have that same problem at Target! I did go today and did not come home with a book. Probably because I was school shopping with my daughter. Happy Birthday to your daughter.

Great mailbox this week! Yes, I know the dangers of Target. Once I went in to buy toothpaste and came home with 5 cozy mysteries instead. :)

Enjoy your books! I'm an new follower.
