Just a heads up that I'm going dark for several weeks. I may still update posts/challenges but there will be no new content, not even Thursdays.

My Mom died and I'm taking each day as it comes, plus helping my Dad go through her stuff.

Jan 16 update: Mother-in-law, who I call Mom, is in the hospital for bypass surgery

Feb 19 update: MIL is home now :-D and slowly getting better. I'm still helping my Dad with Mom's stuff but since my brother is out of town, I'm spending 4 nights at his house every week for a month. It's MUCH closer to Dad's and they do meals together and hang out.

Mar 8 update: I'm having a blast with my Dad. MIL has gone back to the hospital

Teaser & 1st Paragraph

Telling Lies and Telling Lies. . . . Same book for both today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hosted at Bibliophile by the Sea
Every Tuesday, she'll be posting the opening paragraph (maybe two) of her current read. Why don't you join us?

On February 23, 2006, the New York City Medical Examiner's office announced that it had exhausted all possible means of identifying the remains of the victims of the World Trade Center attack. Of the 2,751 men and women who perished on September 11, 2001, 1,161 would remain unaccounted for.

Or perhaps not.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme,
hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
1. Grab your current read Open to a random page
2. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page ~BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!~ make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!
3. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"I know him. and he's been dead for the last nine years," she tossed over her shoulder as she turned a corner and disappeared from view.

That opening is so very very sad --true or untrue. It makes me curious to find out more about this book. Thanks for joining in.

This sounds sad, yet the title intrigues me.

I don’t think my TBR pile will recover from the teasers this week! So many amazing books, so little time. Hope you will stop by and comment on my Clockwork Prince teaser on http://EmmaMichaels.Blogspot.com !

I recently reviewed a fiction about 9/11. I've seen quite a few books lately about that horrific day.
