I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Thoughts on...One Weekend by Cheryl Dragon

warning: this is an "alternative" lifestyles erotic novel

Short, intense. Starts on Friday night and ends Saturday night but with plans for Sunday. There is a lot of sex involved but also a good story. This is not one of those "just ignore the sex parts" books. Still, it is the story of a man who has loved for years without saying anything and what he does when he finally gets his chance. HEA is almost standard.

Product Description:
Sex and friendship don't mix but the explosion can trigger love if only Tom can convince the sexy Greek, Gus, to open himself up to the possibility.

Can two men have sex and stay friends? Best friends since college, Tom and Gus have been through a lot. Dragging Gus out of a bad mood is easy, but the problem is Gus' recent breakup with a mutual friend. Tom wants Gus for himself and sets out to prove that friends can screw around and stay friends. But he wants more and confessing his feelings is harder than seduction.

The cover doesn't do much for the title, just let's those in the know that this is more of a short story. This title, and many like it, is available at the publisher's website
