It's been an interesting year so far. I've lost both my Moms. My mother died in January after a long decline. Soon after, my Mother-in-Law went in for bypass surgery. While her heart healed, other issues zapped her strength and she died April 22.

I may have challenge update posts but I don't know when I'll be posting regularly or when I'll get to visit everyone who is working on the challenges I'm hosting.

Dewey's Read-a-Thon Check-in: Progress Report

Twitter: @bookdragonslair & #readathon

12:10 p.m. Streeeeetch ;)

Not quite ready to get up mentally but apparently it's time.

Grabbed a soda and started visiting before doing any reading.

Lunch was Tuna with tomato and shredded carrot plus a banana and Root Beer. Yummy but tuna does have a distinctive odor which the husband noticed when he walked in the house after shopping. Sweetheart that he is, he went by himself for supplies and cards for tomorrow plus a treat for me for later tonight. :)

4:30 p.m. Finished my first book!

I'll complete a "Finished Reading" post, rough out a review and start a load of laundry before taking a break. Then I'll visit readers, check out the mini-challenges before starting the next book.

The next post should be a mini-challenge or hours from now.

You've got some good looking books in your stack there! I love the Anne McCaffrey books too, I'm reading Catalyst right now (outside the read-a-thon).

You're doing a great job! Keep it up and I hope you have fun today! Glad you could join us!

Wish I had a day to devote to reading; it just never works out. Enjoy
