Signature Stories!
not my cat but Sneakers will do this to me |
More recently (fine, within the last 5 years), I started a book and wasn't really feeling it until I turned the page and it said "Ten Years Later". Oh? I'll just read another chapter and finished the book! Same thing happened with one of the Harry Potter books, I had less than 100 pages left and had to put it down! Not sleep of course, church.
I sleep hard when I sleep. Once I fell asleep in the back of a van and slept through the flat and changing the tire. I've been known to sit down to cuddle with the cat and fall asleep. I sleep through alarm clocks and, ahem, earthquakes. Yup. I don't remember which one it was but the earthquake didn't wake me up, M did when he startled.
I have two signature stories. The first was happened when I headed off to school. I'm thinking I wanted a fancier signature and was in the process of changing it. However, I was worried I'd write a check and sign with the old one. I mentioned it when I opened my new checking account and she suggested I sign the card both ways. ...um, I seem to be dating myself ... I signed the card with both signatures and she showed the manager who came over to see me do it for herself. Yes, they were quite different.
The second story happened when I was getting married. I was working in a bank and the drive-up. There were two of us and lots of downtime. I experimented and she helped me pick one. Haven't changed it in 29 years.
Today's smoothie inspiration: Very Cherry Smoothie
This one preps quick, makes 2 1/2 cups and counts as one serving. The original recipe can be found here but I'm going to mix it up some.
Original
1 c frozen cherries
1 frozen banana
1/2 c cherry juice
1/2 c Greek yogurt
1/4 tea. Stevia, or to taste.
Through all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
My changes: pomegranate juice because I don't have cherry, protein powder, baby kale and spinach.
. . . pomegranate juice became lost in the banana,

I love sleep...but simply don't get enough! (www.thetaxchic.com)
I'm a weird sleeper. I go on very little some days/weeks then I crash and will sleep pretty much for 16 hours straight. I have a prob with getting involved with whatever I'm doing and just keep going and going until I crash. Easier to just go with it though then try to keep a normal schedule (I totally get cranky when I do that)
I finally had to stop reading at night because I have trouble with insomnia and a good book can throw me off my sleep schedule for an entire week. I switched to watching television, because nothing disengages the mind and makes me lose interest faster than tv--puts me to sleep every time!
