I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Review-a-Thon - Mini Challenge #2

Mini Challenge #2

Welcome to Day #2 of the Monster Review-a-Thon! We hope that you are having a blast getting all those reviews knocked out. Today's mini-challenge is...

Cross Posting Your Reviews

As reviewers, we tend to use multiple book related sites: Goodreads... Amazon... LibraryThing... and these are just the tip of the iceburg. Each site has their own benefits and reasons for why we use them. But if you are like us, then you have a really bad habit of putting off adding them to other sites.

That is where today's mini-challenge comes in. Your mini-challenge... if you choose to accept it... is working (or starting) in cross posting your reviews.

To participate, make a post or leave a comment letting us know where you have been posting your reviews and how many you got accomplished.

I was a good girl this week. I cross posted a review at LibraryThing and amazon. I tried for BookDepository and ChristianBook but didn't have my log-in info handy.

Reviews posted on my blog this week:

The Tallest of smalls ~ LibraryThing and amazon
Miracle in Sumatra
One Weekend

dang, The Tallest of smalls was the only one cross-posted at this time. I guess I don't do it because I don't want to repeat myself. Then again, how else will people know what I think about a book? I kind of feel like I'm talking to myself here (I'm always surprised when people comment) and at least at another site, I'm in good company.

amazon.com
bookdepository.com
christianbook.com
bn.com
LibraryThing
GoodReads
Shelfari
publisher sites!

I'd better get busy. I don't mind telling the same story over again so I don't know why I don't want to repeat myself with the reviews. go figure

update: cross posted One Weekend at amazon and publisher's site.
update: forgot about powells.com!

I can totally understand what you are saying. POsting the same review three times seems a bit repetitive, but what else can you do. I also don't mind telling a story a few times, but with reviews - it's different. Somehow. Not sure how.

I really only use Goodreads and Amazon, but have thought about some other sites. I just don't feel up to cross-posting on more than 2-3 sites.
