Just a heads up that I'm going dark for several weeks. I may still update posts/challenges but there will be no new content, not even Thursdays.

My Mom died and I'm taking each day as it comes, plus helping my Dad go through her stuff.

Jan 16 update: Mother-in-law, who I call Mom, is in the hospital for bypass surgery

Feb 19 update: MIL is home now :-D and slowly getting better. I'm still helping my Dad with Mom's stuff but since my brother is out of town, I'm spending 4 nights at his house every week for a month. It's MUCH closer to Dad's and they do meals together and hang out.

Mar 8 update: I'm having a blast with my Dad. MIL has gone back to the hospital

Mar 29 update: MIL is home but not doing well.

Apr 9 update: SIL is nurse and has taken time off work to care for MIL who is basically receiving hospice care at home.

I'll see you in May . . . April 23 update: My Mother-in-law, who I call Mom, died yesterday.

Wednesday Weirdness

Turns out I've been blogging a lot longer than I thought! I have more than one email and found blogs connected to some of them. I'd like to clean things up but they aren't book related so what am I supposed to do? :-) I'm hoping to find something to tie the weirdness together as a header. . . for now, you'll be reading this over and over and over . . . this one is from Jan 2010.

Goals/Plans



It's not that I don't do mornings, it's that, most days, I see the sunrise before going to bed!

I want a regular 9-5 life!




This isn't the balcony but it's close! We're going to the beach house again in August. I NEED to see some improvement!











Plus I want a new swimsuit!

Oh, sure, I'd love a bikini but even something like this - if I look like this would be great.















Happy Anniversary to Me! It will be 25 years in August. M's taking me on a cruise in September!













Long, long ago, I wanted to do a marathon. I've mostly changed my mind.

1st goal: 5k in 45
2nd goal: do a 10k

Be sleek, fit, SEXY and healthy!

3rd goal: do a hm
4th goal: marathon - or at least be FIT enough to do one ;D



Those were my plans THREE years ago and not much has changed. The cruise was fantastic. The beach house was fun (no improvement, no new swimsuit). I still don't do mornings and there are new health issues. I'm currently taking six medications. I'd like to get off all but one of them. As for running. . .

I want to be able to go the marathon distance but what I'd really like to do is run 50k for my 50th birthday/30th anniversary. 50k is close enough to 30, right?


New, realistic goals. Off my meds (all but one). Strong, fit, healthy! Notice there is no weight goal, no clothing size. Sure I'd love to see my wedding weight again but muscle does weigh more than fat and what I'd rather do is be able to wear my wedding dress.
