I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

F is for

F is for Firemen

Is this what your fireman looks like? Would be nice but we're forgetting that these are models and that someone has done their "make-up" to look like this. Now, I'm not saying that models don't work hard or can't be firemen, I'm just saying that I'm sure if you walk into any station you won't find this.

We need to remember that firemen are family men; son, husband, father, uncle, grandson. And family men come in all sorts of sizes and ages! As long as they're strong enough and with the right knowledge. Here's a picture from a calendar photo shoot with real firemen but I think it disproves everything I just wrote ;-)

And yes, I know that women can be firemen too.

This is as close as I can get to real firemen dressed in regular clothes. Most of the other pictures were in their turnouts!

Article about picture, here (wondering if these are some of the fire fighters or some of the supporters now!)

wondering if I have time to stop by my local fire station and ask for a picture? Totally forgot!

Yes, firefighters have a certain look, for sure. I know there are "regular guys" out there but somehow most of them are pretty darn handsome! More so than policemen I think. Thanks for sharing the pictures :)
