I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

What an Animal Reading Challenge

What an Animal
Reading Challenge
2017

Hosted at Socrates' Book Reviews
For more information or to sign up, click here

There are four levels, I'm going for 4 and hope to read 21 or more books. (Shifters!)

There are changes this year. Animals on the cover or in the title no longer count! This is actually good news because I sometimes had trouble finding "cover" or "title".
Any book read for this challenge has to have an animal that plays a major role in the book (which could be fiction or non-fiction.)
It also counts if a main character is (or turns into) an animal (define that however you'd like). In the past, books would qualify if an animal is in the title or on the cover, but that alone no longer qualifies. This challenge is for books related to animals and just because they are in the title or on the cover, doesn't mean it's about an animal.

Basically read books that are about animals (any kind) or have animals (any kind) as main characters.
Any format, any genre, length was not mentioned. Reviews are nice but not necessary, fiction or non-fiction, crossovers to other challenges allowed.
