I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Saturday Snapshot

Saturday Snapshot

Yes that is a weird photo, there is a story. . .

The family was driving to dinner and I was telling them about a photo another blogger had posted about a snow storm in South Dakota. My husband looks at me and taps the dash.

As you can see, almost 5 p.m. and it's still 94!

In case you were wondering, the snow photo is here.

To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky at West Metro Mommy Reads. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

That is hot for October! We do seem to be getting the extremes of weather this year. Every time I think we're in fall for sure, there's an 80+ degree day predicted in our near future.

I'm betting those folks in the Dakotas would have traded places with you!

Whew, I'm glad it's not that hot here anymore! We've been hitting a high in the 70s, and I'm much happier with that...

Yikes! And I was uncomfortable with 85 degrees yesterday after several days of cooler weather.
I like that your hubby shared the photo idea with you. :-)

The snow photo wasn't from me, but I could have posted one too. I live in NE Wyoming and we didn't get quite as much as western SD, but about 18 inches. It is all gone now, but we won't see 94 degrees again til next summer.
